NFL Odds: Niners Prepare for Sunday Nighter Versus Eagles

The San Francisco 49ers are hurting – although it didn’t matter much in Week 3 because they were facing the awful New York Giants. After winning 36-9 as 3-point road favorites, the Niners (2-1 SU and ATS) return home to Santa Clara to face the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday as 7.5-point favorites, kicking off at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.

The Eagles (0-2-1 SU, 0-3 ATS) are a hobbled bunch themselves, and the pain only got worse during their unsatisfying 23-23 tie with the Cincinnati Bengals (+6 away). Philadelphia lost top WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) and CB Avonte Maddox (ankle) to injuries; CB Darius Slay left the field after hurting his arm, but was able to return.

San Francisco’s injury list also got longer on Sunday. CB Emmanuel Moseley left the game against New York after suffering a concussion, and will have to clear protocol to play in Week 4. The Niners are already missing Richard Sherman (calf) in the secondary, as well as DE Nick Bosa (knee) and DT Solomon Thomas (knee) from the front seven. QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) remains week-to-week, but Nick Mullens played well against the Giants in his absence.
