NFL Odds: Cowboys, Patriots Featured in Week 6

The Dallas Cowboys (4-1 SU, 5-0 ATS) haven’t played this well in a long time. America’s Team is performing at an even higher level than the three-time champions from the early 90s; you have to go back to when Tom Landry was their head coach to find a better club. But it’s a long season, and the Cowboys will have to prove themselves again this Sunday when they visit the New England Patriots (2-3 SU and ATS), kicking off at 4:25 PM ET on CBS.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots have seen better days. New England needed an epic fourth-quarter comeback to beat the lowly Houston Texans 25-22 last week, coughing up the cash as 8-point road favorites. The Pats opened as 1-point home dogs for this week’s contest before slipping to +1.5 at press time, with the total holding steady at 48.

Rookie QB Mac Jones has done well just to survive playing behind a banged-up Patriots offensive line without RB James White (hip, out for season) to help him in the backfield. He’ll have a harder time dealing with the Dallas pass rush, while Cowboys QB Dak Prescott can continue his MVP push against New England’s mediocre defense.
