NFL Odds: Brady, Brees Meet in Divisional Round

With two of the greatest quarterbacks in history on display, Sunday’s Divisional Round matchup between the New Orleans Saints (13-4 SU, 10-7 ATS) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (12-5 SU, 9-8 ATS) is an absolute can’t-miss. Kick-off from the Superdome is 6:40 PM ET on Fox; the Saints are 3-point favorites with a total of 52.

This will also be the first-ever playoff game featuring two forty-something starters. Drew Brees, who turns 42 on Friday, won Super Bowl XLIV with the Saints, and Tom Brady (age 43) earned six Super Bowl rings during his time with the New England Patriots. While both players have impressed despite their advanced years, Brady has performed at a near-MVP level – but not against New Orleans, who took their regular season series 2-0 SU and ATS.

These also happen to be two of the scariest defenses in the league, especially the Saints, who torched Brady for five picks in their previous two meetings. The only weakness of note is with Tampa Bay’s special teams; punter Bradley Pinion was No. 17 in the NFL with 40.2 net yards, and the Bucs are also bottom-half in return average on both punts (5.9 yards) and kick-offs (25.4 yards).
