NFL Odds: Bills-49ers From Mystery Location

After a gutsy win over the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers (5-6 SU and ATS) return home to face the Buffalo Bills (8-3 SU, 6-5 ATS) on Monday Night Football. Kick-off is at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN, and the 49ers are 2.5-point underdogs, but there’s just one problem: Thanks to the latest coronavirus surge, the 49ers aren’t allowed to play anywhere in Santa Clara County.

Contact sports have been banned for now within county lines, and anyone traveling in from more than 150 miles away has to quarantine for 14 days, so the 49ers won’t even be able to practice at Levi’s Stadium before facing the Bills. Oakland Coliseum, the former home of the Las Vegas Raiders, is a possibility; the Niners could also play in Glendale or Arlington if they’re forced out of state.

This was already going to be a difficult matchup for San Francisco. They have several injured players heading into Monday night’s contest, including QB Jimmy Garoppolo (high-ankle sprain), while the Bills are relatively healthy after their Week 12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers – their third straight cover, keeping Buffalo atop the AFC East in the process.
