Just before the playoffs began, there was much doubt surrounding the 49ers, who checked in as 9.5-point underdogs in their wild card road game against Dallas. But they came out strong, and built a 23-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Dallas attempted to mount a frenzied comeback, with 10 points scored in the fourth, but the 49ers managed to hang on for the 23-17 victory, earning a ticket to the Divisional Round. Unfortunately for them, TE Nick Bosa (concussion) had to leave the field at the end of the second quarter when he came into contact with teammate DJ Jones. Coach Shanahan believes that Bosa will be ready for their next game against the Packers.

As the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the Packers skipped the wild card weekend and get the advantage of playing in the friendly confines of Lambeau Stadium for the Divisional. This will be a repeat of the regular season Week 3 matchup that saw the Packers win by a tiny two-point margin (30-28) as 3.5-point underdogs. The over came through on the 50.5-point total.
