Thing just keep getting worse for the Brooklyn Nets. They’ll be without small forward Paul Pierce for the next 2-4 weeks after he broke a bone in his right hand. This won’t help the Nets beat the NBA lines Tuesday night when they welcome the red-hot Denver Nuggets to Barclays Center. The Nuggets have won their last six games in a row at 4-2 ATS.

Pierce (15.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists per 36 minutes) joins a list of walking wounded that includes point guard Deron Williams (ankle), combo guard Jason Terry (knee), and small forward Andrei Kirilenko (back). Brooklyn has won just two of its last nine games at 3-6 ATS and has yet to coalesce under rookie head coach Jason Kidd.
Denver is still missing center JaVale McGee (leg) and swingman Danilo Gallinari (knee), but the Nuggets recently welcomed back swingman Wilson Chandler to the lineup, and they’ve been getting solid results from center Timofey Mozgov (17.1 PER).
Tip-off is at 7:30 PM ET with local coverage on Altitude Sports. The early line has Denver favored by 4.5 points with a total of 205.5.
