Things have been touch-and-go with the Jays as of late. They’re coming off of a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers that they managed to win after dropping the first game of the series on the 27th. The victory was significant for the Jays, and they’ve now won three straight games after winning the opener versus the O’s on Monday.

Against the bottom-dwellers of the AL East, the Jays have an opportunity to string together another series victory and make a push for the final wild card spot that’s currently occupied by the Boston Red Sox. Pressure will be on for Hyun Jin Ryu (12-7, 3.88 ERA) who will start Game 2 against the Orioles tonight. Meanwhile, Baltimore will hand the ball to Keegan Akin (1-8, 7.26 ERA), is coming off of a phenomenal start against the Angels on the 26th.
