After dropping Monday’s series opener 5-2 in extra innings, the Jays find themselves four games back of the final wildcard spot and eight games back of the Tampa Bay Rays for the AL East lead. Hopes are high in Toronto after several trade deadline acquisitions, but none more significant than the trade which brought starter Jose Berrios over from the Minnesota Twins.

While Toronto had their chances on Monday, it was a strong start from Cleveland’s Eli Morgan (two earned runs over six innings), and timely hitting against newly acquired reliever Brad Hand in the 10th inning that ultimately led to the Jays’ loss. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. extended his hitting streak to nine games and added a homer on Monday. With Game 2 set for Tuesday night (7:07 PM ET), Hyun Jin Ryu will take the mound for Toronto opposite Zach Plesac. Tune in to see if Toronto can get back in the win column.
