NCAA betting – North Carolina Tar Heels at Duke Blue Devils
In what might almost serve as a preview to a classic late round March Madness contest, Duke is squaring off this weekend against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The Blue Devils beat North Carolina when these squads last met one month ago and Duke has done well ever since, but this rematch is going to serve as a true test of their skill. The key for the Blue Devils will be focusing on the task at hand and not letting the bitter rivalry that exists between the teams distract from their gameplan.

North Carolina has been winning its games on the boards, taking the rebound battle against every team they’ve faced since mid-December. The Blue Devils, however, have not been bossed around the net by any team they’ve faced this year and this contest will by no means be a walk in the park for North Carolina.

Following the February 6 loss to Duke, the Tar Heels have recorded seven straight wins over some worthy adversaries, and other than a narrow one point win over Virginia, all of the Tar Heels wins have been by double-digits.
For the most part Duke has met its expectations all season long, dominating the home court ever since a one point loss to Pittsburgh on December 20.

Bettors might expect a tight matchup here.

NHL betting – St. Louis Blues at Vancouver Canucks
If you haven’t been paying attention to the NHL so far this season, now is the time to get involved, as the playoff races are in full swing.
Slip ups vs. teams considered as lesser foes has waddled the Vancouver Canucks to the outside of the Western Conference playoff picture. Several bettors pressed on the Canucks to rebound from their embarrassing effort in Chicago, but when the final horn sounded in Colorado Tuesday night, Van was once again left searching for answers.

Expect a decent number on the home squad here but when making wagers, also realize that no other team has settled for more overtime experiences this year than Vancouver.

NBA betting – San Antonio at Phoenix, 3:30 p.m.
As NBA fans and bettors get set for the hottest matchups of this season’s final quarter, all eyes will be on Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns as they host the San Antonio Spurs. Phoenix has been struggling a little since Shaq arrived.

Nash and the Suns are pressing on the division leading Los Angeles Lakers, but the Spurs are protecting their own lead in the Southwest.
From a wagering standpoint, the total in this game might be worth a little more consideration than the spread. One thing to keep in mind is that the number for these two teams has looked low in each of the past five matchups, yet the Over/Under record actually sits at 1over and 4 unders in their last five meetings.
