Scottish Open delayed again because of heavy rain

The Scottish Open fell further behind schedule, with the start of play Saturday delayed because of heavy overnight rain.

With the Castle Stuart links course flooded, organizers said there will be no play until 2 p.m. at the earliest.

Half of the players – including first-round leaders Lee Westwood and Mark Tullo, as well as top-ranked Luke Donald – have yet to complete their second rounds in the warmup event for the British Open nextt week.

Former U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell shared the lead at 11 under with Scottish pair Peter Whiteford and Scott Jamieson. The finished the second round Friday.
